How I work

The care I take in every brushstroke reflects how much you care about each of them.

I've been painting for fifteen years and have exhibited in four countries. I love using watercolour and gouache at live events because they're fast and full of light. Watercolour keeps each portrait loose and alive, and gouache lets me add bold colour and fine details, often finished with gold or metallic touches. Both dry quickly, so your guests can take their painting home the same night.

Each portrait comes out a little different, because each person is. Guests feel the care that goes into every brushstroke, and that care reflects back on you as hosts.

I often finish portraits with gold or other metallic accents: a shimmering background, a gilded border, a glint on the names. In the light of your celebration, they catch the eye and turn a quick sketch into something that feels ceremonial.

It's a small detail, and it's often the one guests notice first when they hold their portrait.

About me

I'm Weronika, painter and founder of Upsilala Studio.

I'm a multidisciplinary artist with fifteen years of practice and exhibitions in Brazil, Poland, Italy and the Czech Republic.

At your celebration I bring a real level of artistry. Every portrait is created from scratch, by hand, with no templates. I paint quickly and with personality, so each one is a unique piece of art with the person's own likeness.

Why is it worth it?

It's the entertainment and the gift in one. Your guests enjoy the moment at the table, and they take a piece of your wedding home.

How many guests can you paint?

It depends on the hours you choose. On our call we plan the order together, usually starting with family and closest friends. More portraits can be painted afterwards from photos.

Which languages do you speak?

English, Italian and Polish.

Do you travel?

Yes. Lake Como and northern Italy regularly, and destination weddings on request.

What do you need at the venue?

A small table near your guests, good light and a little space around it.

Can the cards match our wedding stationery?

Yes. As an option, we can design one card together just for your wedding, with your names, venue and date, in colours that go beautifully with your stationery.

How do we book?

Send me your date, venue and guest count. I'll reply with availability and a proposal. Your date is held once the booking is confirmed.

Come lavoro

La cura che metto in ogni pennellata riflette quanto tenete a ciascuno di loro.

Dipingo da quindici anni e ho esposto in quattro paesi. Agli eventi dal vivo amo usare acquerello e gouache perché sono veloci e pieni di luce. L’acquerello mantiene ogni ritratto libero e vivo, la gouache mi permette colori decisi e dettagli fini, spesso rifiniti con tocchi d’oro o metallizzati. Si asciugano in fretta, così gli ospiti possono portare a casa il dipinto la sera stessa.

Ogni ritratto viene un po’ diverso, perché ogni persona lo è. Gli ospiti sentono la cura in ogni pennellata, e questa cura parla di voi come padroni di casa.

Spesso rifinisco i ritratti con oro o altri accenti metallizzati: uno sfondo che brilla, una cornice dorata, un riflesso sui nomi. Alla luce della vostra festa catturano lo sguardo e trasformano uno schizzo veloce in qualcosa di davvero cerimoniale.

È un piccolo dettaglio, ed è spesso il primo che gli ospiti notano quando tengono in mano il loro ritratto.

Sono Weronika, pittrice e fondatrice di Upsilala Studio.

Sono un’artista multidisciplinare con quindici anni di pratica e mostre in Brasile, Polonia, Italia e Repubblica Ceca.

Alla vostra festa porto un vero livello artistico. Ogni ritratto nasce da zero, a mano, senza modelli. Dipingo con rapidità e personalità, perché ognuno sia un’opera unica, con la somiglianza della persona.
